Police Another Story
This is Sharon again. You might remember that I'm a
cop and Doug is my partner. That was some call that we went out on a
few days ago. You know, the one I told you about.
Well, we had a few interesting calls last night that
I will tell you about. I don't know if I have enough time to tell
you about all of them, but I will tell you the steamy part. Because
I know, that is what you really want to hear.
This week we are working day shift. This is probably
the most boring shift to work. Not much goes on during the day time.
Most of the time it is just angry drivers that curse at others. That
seems to be what starts all of the problems around here. I wish I
knew why they are always so pissed off.
I met Doug for breakfast. We went to this little
restaurant that serves the best breakfast you could ever imagine. I
had two eggs over easy and some hash browns. Doug on the other hand
had three eggs, two pancakes, and two sausage patties. As I told you
before, this guy can eat like crazy and not gain a pound. I don't
know how he does it. If I ate that much, it would go straight to my
ass!
Doug told me all about what is going on with his
divorce. His wife is being a bitch and is trying to get the house.
I'm not sure why he is fighting it, because that house is a dump. I
hate to talk like that, but it is true. The house looks like shit on
the outside and the inside. I guess the reason why he is fighting it
so much is, it is a symbol of his hard work. Since she didn't do
anything but sit on her ass, the house was symbolic of all of the
hard work he has done as a police officer. I'd sell the house and
spend the money on something to piss her off. Like a down payment on
a better house or something. But, he isn't as evil as I am. What can
I say, I'm a woman!
On the way out of the restaurant I asked the woman at
the register if they do take out orders. She said they did, all that
I needed to do was call it in. I think I will get my lunch from
there today. The last thing I want to eat is a cheese burger and
fries. I already know what Doug will want, so I need to have
something planned for when I get mine.
We went to the station and got our car. Everyone
seemed to be in a bad mood today. The coffee pot wasn't working
right and no one had any coffee. If there is one thing that I have
learned, it is to stay away from a police officer that is in need of
a cup of coffee.
Believe me, it isn't a pretty sight. Luckily, I had
coffee with my breakfast. Sometimes me and Doug goes to a gas
station that has great coffee. Since we don't spend all day at the
station, we don't have access to their coffee. It is a good thing
too, because that shit tastes like oil.
The stuff at the gas station can be old, but even
when it is, it never tastes as bad as the stuff from the
station.
"Is that guy swerving?" Doug asked as he pointed at a
car.
"I don't know, let's follow it." I said as I got
behind it.
I couldn't tell if the driver was drunk or not. I
could tell that he knew I was behind him and was driving very
cautious.
"Stop driving so close to him. Fall back and make him
think that we are no longer behind him." Doug said.
I let the guy gain some distance ahead of us. I even
let a car pass me so the driver wouldn't think that I was following
him. The car ahead of me turned off, leaving us behind the
suspicious car again.
"I think we his swerving." I said as I got a good
look at him.
"I'm going to stop him." I told Doug.
I got behind the guy and was riding his tail. He was
nervous and kept looking behind to see what was going on. I then
turned on my siren and lights. I thought the guy wasn't going to
stop. He had drove through two traffic lights, even though I had my
siren and lights on.
"Do you think he will be a runner?" Doug
asked.
"I don't know. He has to know we are behind him." I
said.
I got as close as I could to the car without hitting
it. It was bumper to bumper driving. The driver then knew that we
wanted him to pull over. He pulled over and turned off his car. I
looked at Doug and he looked at me. I knew that he thought something
was strange.
"I'm going to go around to right side of the car, you
go to the left." Doug said as we got out of the car.
I put my hand on my gun and walked up slowly to the
car. I could see the man in the car was black. His head was shaven
clean and he was wearing a basketball jersey.
The main thing that stuck out was, his big ears. If I
didn't know any better, I would have thought he was Dumbo's
cousin.
"Why didn't you stop?" I asked.
"I didn't know you were behind me." He said
nervously.
"I was behind you with my lights and sirens on for
two blocks." I said in a stern voice.
"Don't move, don't put your hands over there." Doug
said as he seen the man reaching for something.
"I'm going to have to ask you to get out of the car."
I said.
"Why do I have to get out of the car?" He
asked.
"I think you are reaching for something. It is for
both our safety." I explained.
The man wouldn't move. I could see out of the corner
of my eye that Doug had his gun pointed at the man. Doug must have
sensed something about the man that I hadn't. Though, I did feel
that it was suspicious that he wasn't cooperating.
"Get out of the car!" Doug yelled.
"Hey man, don't point that gun at me." The man said
when he seen Doug's gun.
"Get out now!" I said.
"Come on guys, don't do this to me." The man
said.
I stood back and I pulled out my gun. He knew that we
both meant business now.
"Okay guys, I am getting out of the car." The man
said as he opened his car door.
